The Second Half of our 2020 Covid-19 Season


Please note that our staged readings will be done on Zoom for now. Eventually we will move back to  publicly accessible venues where you can vigorously cheer or jeer our performers in person.

August 15 and 16: Wurzel-Flummery by A. A. Milne and directed by Neil Donnelly

October 17 and 18: Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher and directed by Tim Jones

December 12 and 13: The Shop Around the Corner adapted by Norman Corwin and directed by Judith Mazur


Our fall main stage production, originally slated to be in the fall and on our main stage, is currently in a state of limbo because we don't know what social distancing parameters will be. Keep watching this site, and our Facebook page for more information.

Testing a New Home Page for the Bay Village Community Theater

We are going to try and simplify the website for our little theater group. The Wordpress system of the original is rather hard to manipulate for the admins and hard to navigate for the reader.  This Blogger version will have one page only, a blog, chronologically laid out. If possible, we will move some of the old content to this page. If not, we won't. In which case, this will be Year Zero. Of course, we have been and will continue to be a presence on Facebook no matter what happens on this page. Staged Reading: Dragnet (social-distanced version)

While live performances have been put on hold, at Bay Village Community Theater, the show must go on! Via the technological magic of Zoom, the group will present a free reading of “The Big Sister,” a Dragnet radio script from 1955  Saturday June 20 at 7 pm and Sunday June 21 at 3 pm.  “I was disappointed that we had to cancel our spring production of Bleacher Bums,” said board president John Hnat. “But we realized that our staged reading series was perfect for this new medium.” The cast has been rehearsing via Zoom from their own homes. Director Judith Mazur noted, “There are different considerations to take into account when performing on Zoom instead of live, so we did a test run with a limited audience last week, so we could get some constructive feedback.” The cast features Ben Saylor as Joe Friday.
